Meet the Dairy Data Partners Team
Real farming experience, powering your data.
Behind every DDP report is a team of people who know what life on a dairy farm really looks like. Our team isn’t made up of just data analysts, we’re from agricultural and dairy backgrounds. We’ve spent time in barns, parlours, and fields, so we understand what the numbers mean in the real world.
Using IDS Tracker as the foundation, we review and interpret the data captured from your herd – from body condition and milk yield to feeding and fertility trends. By combining real-world farming experience with smart technology, we highlight the key patterns and priorities that matter most for managing herd health, performance, and efficiency.
We’re not just looking at numbers; we’re focused on what those numbers mean for you and your cows.

James Hague
Head of Data Intelligence
With a background in hands-on farming and over a decade in research and development, James brings a rare combination of practical experience and technical expertise to the Dairy Data Partners team. Early in his career, he worked at one of Europe’s leading dairy research centres before becoming Technical Director at Kingshay, the farmer-funded R&D organisation. There, he led projects spanning from soil health to dairy economics, always focused on producing insights that could be directly applied on farm.
James is passionate about turning complex research into real-world solutions. He has written countless technical notes, run practical workshops, and built systems that translate scientific findings into everyday tools for farmers. His work in dairy research for the UK government and Kingshay included in-depth studies on ruminant nutrition, grass varieties, and whole-farm performance.
He also created an award-winning dairy processing and delivery business and developed Tracker – an online milk prediction and monitoring tool now used by hundreds of farmers across the UK, New Zealand, and Australia. Tracker enables day-by-day dairy costings and helps monitor feed margins and conversion efficiency.
